Suzanne Winter from Winter Wonderings Wonderings & Whatnot contacted me yesterday to share a wonderful opportunity to help out the many in Oklahoma who’ve been displaced by the recent tornado devastation.

This is what Suzanne wrote:

I am helping organize a philanthropic endeavor in conjunction with Green Style Creations and Pattern Revolution. We will be donating a hand made item (or more) to those in need in OK. Angelyn Benett of Green Style Creations lives in the area and had family living in the town that was hit the worst, so she is the ‘feet on the ground’. All donations will be sent to her so that she can take them directly to the places with the most need.

We don’t always have the opportunity to help others when tragedy occurs. I’m excited about this opportunity to give something handmade from the heart that I’m sure will be greatly appreciated.

For more information about free pattern donations and how you can participate, visit Pattern Revolution for the full announcement. This collaboration runs from May 21 – June 21.

Thank you!

Way before the sun came up.
The whole house was asleep, except for me. I was in a spare room, with the door closed, lights out, tears streaming down my face. Praying.

“GOD, this is so hard! Why do I feel like I”m failing in almost every area of my life?”

Somehow life as I knew it had turned inside out, and I was now just a spectator trying to make sense of it all.

Motivation Mondays is a weekly series posted at www.motivationmondays.org. I talk from a Christian perspective about my past struggles as well as triumphs in the hope that just as others have helped me along the way, my readers will find something beneficial to carry along with them throughout their week. I believe that community is important as well as honesty and transparency.Want to chat?
