A Brief Pause: Instagram

I’ll be the first to admit that on a good day, I am social media challenged. I went to high school in the 80s where cell phones were as big as fax machines (almost) and too clunky to carry around. Typewriters and liquid paper were a school girl’s best friend, and  a beeper “on the hip” was way more common than an Ipad in your purse is today. Somewhere between high school, 20 years, marriage and 6 kids, I fell off of the technology roller coaster. I’ve been trying to get back on that ride for a few years, but I can’t seem to unbuckle myself from the kiddie coaster that keeps going around in circles (Beep! Beep!)

But not today, my friends. I am officially an Instagrammer. (Is that a word? Ha!)  It took me a few days to figure it out and lots of pleading with my friends to rescue me from the social media sink hole, but I’m in. Woo!

I need some more friendly faces for support. I’d love for you to join me: @LittleKidsGrow

Make it a great one!

I do not do social media but instagram is 1 I would like to do. When I take the time to figure it out I will find you!

Hello my dear friend. I’m dropping by on my lunch break to see how things are going. Even though we’ve not talked voice to voice, I feel like I’ve had a conversation with you by reading your blogs. I LOVED the video – your little guy is too cute! Your Monday motivation touched me because I feel like I’m taking stock every few weeks – especially since writing research papers has overtaken the time I used to have to just write. Big sigh. 🙂

Thank you for sharing yourself with us, and I look forward to stopping by again soon.

Oh, sweet friend! You’ve been on my mind lately, particularly your lovely writing. We’ll have to talk soon. Big hugs!

Agghhhh! “Cell phones were as big as fax machines!” After that I didn’t think I could take any more. Lol. As if that weren’t enough, then you give me the mental picture of you going ’round and ’round on a kiddie ride. Absolutely love it. I think at some point you’ll have to rescue me this pit of antiquity I am in, but for now…..I’m good. You should see my cell phone. It flips. LOL!

    • Shannon_CC says:

Ha! Ha! Hold onto that “flip” for dear life! When your kids get older, they’re not going to believe that you “actually had one of those?” My 5-year-old can navigate my smart phone better than I can. Wuh? (My kids don’t have cell phones. How do they know this stuff?) I may be off the social media kiddie coaster, but I don’t know if I’ll ever be tall enough for the “big people” ride. LOL
