99 Cent One Day sale!!!

Today I released my 2nd pattern under Peaches and Peanuts called My Big Boy Tie. My boys are between the ages of 6-13. The velcro and snap ties just weren’t working for them anymore. The velcro either stopped “sticking” over time or the snaps were just bothersome. This tie is a great beginning tie for your little one or a great versatile one for your older boy. The pattern even comes with “How To Tie a Tie” instructions. (I personally love this tie because after sewing it a few times, I can sew one up one from start to finish in less than 30 minutes.

  • I sure do wish that I had seen this right before Christmas! My boys hardly EVER get anything sewn for them, and that makes me sad. One of these days, I’ll learn how to sew for a teenager, and to properly sew pants for boys!

Hi there, Natasha! It’s usually the opposite around our house. The boys outnumber the girls, so I find myself making more boy stuff. And my girls are in a size 14, so it’s taking me a minute to learn how to *fit* them properly. Sigh. If I only had more hands and some extra hours in the day. 🙂

      • I am hoping to learn how to draft patterns this year, so hopefully I can offer some insight for someone else! Looking forward to keeping up with you this year!

Yay!!!Good for you! Pattern drafting is a great skill to have under your belt, especially if you want to create your own designs. There’s nothing like sketching something out on paper and then seeing it come to life. Wishing you much success!
